• Born 1961 in Stockholm.
• MFA in Industrial Design at Konstfack University college of arts, craft and design, Stockholm 1989.
• A founding partner of Rififi design and advertising agency, 1987.
• Since 1995 manager of the company Mikael Varhelyi & Son AB.
• Mikael Varhelyi & Son AB works mainly with Production Design for feature films, theatre and TV, but also as exhibition– and interior designer.

• Mikael Varhelyi is a lecturer at design schools and workshops all over Europe.
